Together, We Rise After Hurricane Helene

In late September 2024, Hurricane Helene swept through Western North Carolina, causing unimaginable destruction. Entire communities were upended, and homes and businesses were destroyed, leaving many without the basics they needed to rebuild. These communities’ resilience is powerful, but they can’t do it alone—they need support to heal and rebuild, and that’s where we come in.

At Rembrandt Roofing, we believe in building more than just roofs. We’re here to build strong, resilient communities. When we saw the destruction brought about by Hurricane Helene, we started “Compassion in Action,” an initiative to offer crucial support, supplies, and volunteer assistance to those most affected. Our mission is to unite our community in Miami Valley, Western North Carolina, and beyond, not just to provide aid but to remind these families that they are not alone.

Compassion in Action: A Community Effort

Our Compassion in Action initiative started with a single social media post, and the response was nothing short of amazing. We were moved by the generosity of our community members, clients, and suppliers, who joined us in mobilizing resources and sending help to hurricane-affected areas. Together, we’ve loaded and dispatched five trucks filled with essentials, with more shipments on the way, including a 53-foot semi and multiple 20-foot trailers, each carrying the supplies needed to restore hope and stability.

With every truckload, we are delivering items like medical supplies, non-perishable food, bottled water, cleaning products, and building materials. This effort has been possible because of countless volunteers and donors who share our goal of bringing life-saving resources to those affected.

How We’re Helping to Rebuild

Our commitment to these communities goes beyond sending supplies. We’re also providing on-the-ground assistance and ongoing partnerships to ensure long-term support. Here’s what we’ve been able to accomplish:

  • Essential Supply Deliveries: Each truckload includes critical supplies, from non-perishable food and water to construction materials.
  • Volunteer Teams: Rembrandt Roofing staff and volunteers have devoted countless hours to hands-on support, from coordinating relief distributions to assisting in rebuilding efforts.
  • Partnerships for Ongoing Support: We’re collaborating with local organizations to ensure continued aid, and our team is committed to returning with additional materials and roofing expertise as needed.
